What is interaction ?

Basically interaction mean something that can be touch by us. An example such as computer device, we use a mouse to control where we want to click in and a keyboard to type in data to electronic device or can be known as how we control the whole system. Interaction also brings good and bad, if a good interaction are there then the whole process are smooth and well control but not in the other hand that is bad interaction.

Human computer interaction (HCI) which according to Wikipedia is the study,planning and design of the interaction between people (users) and computers. For example, characters or objects displayed by software on a personal computer's monitor, input received from users via hardware peripherals such as keyboards and mouses, and other user interactions with large-scale computerized systems such as aircraft and power plants.

Since the technology keep growing time by time,human interaction to the technology are getting faster so HCI is where the research on how human interact with the technologies such as for now is Apple iPhone. (http://www.hcii.cmu.edu/)

Do you know what is the meaning of interaction? The meaning of Interaction is a user when try to use a product or device that user daily use such as cell phone, laptop, mouse, ATM machine , car park ticket machine and endless product that are easy, comfortable, and enjoyable to use. Many products that require users to interact with them to carry out their tasks have not necessarily been designed with the users in mind, with these interaction experiment the designer know what is necessary and what is not that will help to improve the product to be more friendly user.

We can judge a product with good or bad interaction design based on user interaction experiment. A good design is based on how the user feel about the product and how well they use the product, with good interaction design ,the user will know how to use the product very well without reading the user manual. On the other hand, if the products with a bad interaction design, the user will feel uncomfortable with the product because it is very confusing and difficult to use.

            Human computer interaction (HCI) is about how human or users interact with computer. According to Wikipedia, Human–computer Interaction (HCI) is the study, planning and design of the interaction between people (users) and computers. Interaction between users and computers occurs at the user interface which includes both software and hardware; for example, characters or objects displayed by software on a personal computer's monitor, input received from users via hardware peripherals such as keyboards and mouse.

Computer is a need for everyone nowadays, no matter is young or old, rich or poor; everyone should have a computer in their life. We have to think about how user use computer that use in their daily life. Some use for entertainment, some use for education and some use for their living. But not all of them enjoy using computer, with the interaction experiment some user use it very suffering because of this issue, the designer use the concept or principle of interaction design to invent or reinvent a much better product for the user.

            Design is everywhere. Design is making better for people and could be viewing as an activity that translate an idea into a blueprint for something useful whether it is a car, building, graphic and etc. Design have relate with user, creativity and business. Design is relate to user is because when a product is designed, the product will be used by the user. The relation of design and creativity is when your creativity has a limit, design is limited. The relation of design and business is when the product with the good design, the business will grow. The goal of interaction is to develop tool to help designer match applicable design technique to a range of target behaviours.
